At any of our 35 convenient locations you can take advantage of working one-to-one with a faculty mentor, in small study groups and intensive residencies, combined with online, fully interactive courses. You choose the study options that fit your learning style.
Online
Many busy adults choose to study through our Center for Distance Learning, the largest online education provider in New York. You can work entirely online with a faculty mentor to get oriented, design your degree program, select your courses, and use our convenient, on-demand student resources from home or on the road.
Accreditation
Empire State College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education . Founded in 1971 as a part of the State University of New York, Empire State College was designed to meet the needs of adult learners. The college was the first public nontraditional higher education institution to be accredited and is one of the 13 arts and sciences colleges in the State University of New York (SUNY) system.
